In charge of maintenance, repairs and conversions to the company's buildings, premises, quays, stevedoring warehouses, cranes, crane tracks and piers.

Notable Projects
Coordinated technical activities related to HOLLAND AMERICA LINE'S entry into the container trade.
Conversion of a Dutch passenger liner under the German flag.
Removal of six damaged, watertube boilers from a 36,000 GRT passenger liner, installation of five U.S. Navy surplus boilers and subsequent recommissioning of the vessel for Trans-Atlantic and cruise trade in a ten week interval.
Offshore equipment inspection and evaluation for Construction Companies in the Arabian Gulf.
Inspection for underwriters of all major French Shipyards in connection with Construction of Liquefied Natural Gas Carriers.
Investigation of underwriters' exposure in VLCC (super tanker) trade.
Condition surveys of commercial floating dry docks in connection with the U.S. Navy certification process.
Expert witness assisting attorneys in litigation and arbitration in all phases of ship and engine disputes. Experience with court and arbitration procedures in the USA, England and The Netherlands.

Associate-Professor in Marine Surveying at the College of Insurance, New York, N.Y.
Upgraded Certificates as Marine Engineer by passing Federal Exams after self-tuition (1955 and 1959)
All qualified "Cum Laude"
All licenses are qualified Steam and Diesel Marine Engineering licenses, unlimited horsepower as issued by the Dutch Government
