Senior surveyor and consultant at J.C. van Sas & Associates B.V. in all aspects of cargo problems. Main experiences with machinery, liquid cargoes (chemicals and minerals) break bulk and dry bulk. Claim handling and loss adjusting in the field of liability. Surveys conducted worldwide.
1994 - 1998
Surveyor at Expertise Bureau Binnendijk-Bree B.V. at Rotterdam; working experience as described above.
1991 - 1994
Cargo inspector with ITS Caleb Brett and Inspectorate in the field of dry bulk, mineral oils (crude, as well as products), chemicals in all varieties, break bulk, etc. Quality assessments (i.e., analyses on chemicals), as well as quantity assessments (i.e., draft surveys, ullages soundings) were carried out. During this period assistant manager at Daniel C. Griffith (part of Inspectorate).
1986 - 1991
Mate on various types and sizes of vessels, mainly break bulk, active worldwide. During this period extensive experience was acquired in the handling of cargoes, as well as carrying out all kind of engineering jobs and maintenance.
