1996 - 1997
Engineer and Surveyor with MARTIN, OTTAWAY, van HEMMEN & DOLAN, INC. Areas of specialization include vessel vetting and condition surveys, forensic engineering, mechanical engineering, structural and mechanical system surveys, and failure analysis.

Liquid and solid cargoes damage inspections, follow-up surveys, loss mitigation and verification, cargo outturn and pre-shipment inspections, dock damage, and personal injury investigations carried out for owners, charterers and their P&I underwriters.

Notable Projects

Following instructions from European Marine Underwriters, researched and made recommendations to South American liner refrigerated container carrier during 1991-1992, that were successful in preventing recurring generator break-downs.

Participated in successful evacuation of M.V. "NORMAN ATLANTIC", loaded with naphtha, and destroyed in bombing attack during the Iran - Iraq war in December 1987.
