We have new partners, have empowered our New Orleans staff with control over their own joint ventured company and have increased our consulting staff. Additionally, we shared in the joy of David and Marianne for the birth of their son, Niall. It is our hope that all of you, our readers, friends and clients, have shared in happy and fruitful experiences during the past year.. Dolan Martin & Ottaway Elects New Partners In October Martin and Ottaway elected two new Partners, Wayne P. Thomas and Pierce N. Power. Both individuals have been with the Firm for many years and have showed the professionalism expected by our clients. We, as a Firm, welcome their valuable input and the continuation of Wayne and Pierce's efforts to make Martin and Ottaway the best Marine Consulting Firm in the World. Congratulations to both. James L. Dolan Martin, Ottaway and Fernandes, Inc. On October 1st, 2007, after long planning the New Orleans office became a joint ventured entity headed up by its President Jason Fernandes. Jason, a long time consultant with the Firm, has been the Manager of our New Orleans branch for the past ten years and by his expertise and professional demeanor has met the expectations of our mutual clients in the Gulf area. This new company arrangement recognizes this dedication to the standards and values of Martin and Ottaway and allows for Jason the opportunity of direct management over his own venture. Our intention is to work closely with Martin, Ottaway and Fernandes, Inc. with no disruption of our combined client services and foresee a seamless transition. We wish Jason and his wife Karen, who will assist Jason, success in this venture and look forward to the future with them. James L. Dolan New Consultant - Tim Cain The Firm added a new marine consultant to the staff in August and are happy to introduce Timothy C. Cain to our clients Tim is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point and has a U.S. Coast Guard Third Mate's License, as well as a Tankerman PIC and engine department qualifications (QMED). Tim comes to us from time spent as an Corporate Insurance and Claims Coordinator for a shipping company and with sailing experience with a U.S. Tanker Company. We are proud to have Tim as a part of our staff and you'll be seeing him on the waterfront representing Martin and Ottaway and our clients. Welcome aboard, Tim. James L.
